How Medical Waste Disposal Works
The Biovastum SBW™ transforms medical waste into a solid, non-toxic brick that is ready for the common trash. By heating all material in the unit to 385°F for 3 hours, the unit renders the waste non-infectious and sterile. Sharps are also rendered harmless as they are absorbed within the brick. Once medical waste has passed through through the device, it can simply be placed in a dumpster or garbage can along with the rest of your waste.
